Nature-inclusive and climate-adaptive building in the city
How to get it done?
This event takes place in Dutch. Switch to the Dutch page for more information.
We have a huge construction task ahead of us as a city, as well as the ambition to densify and make the city greener. This presents both challenges and plenty of opportunities for climate adaptation and biodiversity. Curious? Join the session on nature-inclusive and climate-adaptive building on 21st June, scheduled to take place during the Rotterdam Architecture Month. This event has been given the ‘Nature-inclusive & climate-adaptive building for a rich urban nature’ theme and is promising to be an afternoon full of knowledge, inspiration and meetings.
Inspiring stories and panel discussion
You’ll be hearing inspirational stories from, for example, Onno Dwars, Ballast Nedam Development’s Developer and Director and Maike van Stiphout, Landscape Architect and Director at DS Landscape Architects, during the first part of the afternoon. This will be followed up by a panel discussion with various different experts about the multitude of opportunities and challenges cities face where building in a nature-inclusive and climate-adaptive manner is concerned. How are we going to work together on that biodiverse and climate-adaptive city? Who’s going to be responsible for which task?
