FRAME-IT
A pavilion for and by the youth of Groot-IJsselmonde
How inclusive is the Groot-IJsselmonde district? Which age groups are missing in the public space? And how do you ensure that they can meet each other in the squares and parks of the district?
Six Master’s students in Architecture and Urbanism/Landscape from the TU Delft have spent the past few weeks studying this question in the design project ‘Design for a resilient Rotterdam’. They then designed meeting pavilions for the youth of Greater IJsselmonde on the square in front of the Keizerswaard shopping center.
But it didn’t stop at just a design! The winning pavilion, ‘frame-it!, will be built from 14 to 25 June, together with the youth of Groot-IJsselmonde. If you want to help build the pavilion, come to the square in front of the Keizerswaard shopping center!
